American League Champs

First things first - the Rangers are going to the World Series!!!

Now I can update you on what has been happening lately. Last weekend my sister Lee and her family went to Mansfield to stay with my parents. Ryan ended up going to Bull Shoals that weekend with Nick and Chris so I went to Mansfield by myself. We went to the State Fair and it was a GREAT weekend. My sister Katie and her boyfriend met us there and my nephews loved it. Well, mostly Rhett loved it; Corbin didn't know what was going on. The only thing that was missing was Ryan. He was sad he couldn't be there but I know he loved his guy trip.

When we got back from the Fair my parents' neighbors were having an estate sale and I found a really pretty old wardrobe. She was selling it for $150 and I offered $60 with Ryan's permission of course (that's my cheapness shining through). She said she would do $70. I called Ryan to see if that was okay thinking he wouldn't mind paying $70 if he was willing to pay $60, but that's what I get for assuming. He was adamant about not going above $60. So I shamefully walked back to the estate sale, showed her $60 cash per Ryan's instructions, and told her that's my final offer - no hard feelings if she doesn't want to go that low. Well, she thought about it and reluctantly took the cash. SUCCESS. Ryan was pleased and took all the credit for the bargaining even though I did all the work. :)

We also got to spend time with Granny and Grandad Sunday (Ryan's biological grandparents, my adopted grandparents). We met their new puppy Chester and he is adorable.

This weekend Ryan's parents, Terri and Toby, came to Stephenville and stayed with us for a night. It's always so nice to spend time with them. I feel very blessed to be married into such a wonderful family. We went to the Tarleton Homecoming parade Saturday morning. Not even the rain kept us from the parade - unfortunately. I ran across the street to an ATM to stay dry and watched the parade through the window. It was fun though and we saw a lot of friends there.

Here are some pictures Ryan downloaded from the big game.

Love,
Amy
